This report presents data collected as part of the ERS National Survey of School District Budgets, 2006-07. The report provides answers to key questions often asked by school leaders, policy makers, other school employees, business leaders, and community members about budgeted revenues and expenditures within U.S. public school systems. Expenditure data are presented for functional categories (e.g., expenditures for instructional services, school-site leadership, and central-office and school board services), as well as certain key object categories (e.g., salaries and benefits for various groups of personnel). Data are categorized by four enrollment groups, five per-pupil expenditure levels, and six community types of school systems, as well as by eight geographic regions of the United States. 25 pages. 2007.
