Salary and Staffing Profiles—Powerful Tools for School District Management
What is a Profile?
Two different profiles are available from ERS: the Salary Profile and the Staffing Ratios Profile. Both easy-to-use, individually-prepared reports compare data from your district with comparable data from up to 18 other school districts.
Why would I want one?
The Profiles include salary or staffing information on central-office staff, principals, assistant principals, teachers, counselors, librarians, nurses, teacher aides, and much more.
They can help inform your district's decision making and also provide you with data to help explain salary structures and staffing patterns to board members, employee groups, and the public.
How is the data collected?
Each year the data is collected by Educational Research Service's survey research team through the national survey of salaries and wages in public schools. Our goal in developing this resource—available only through ERS—is to provide you with data you can rely on in an easy-to-use format.
How much does it cost?
Our pricing structure takes two things into account—whether your district subscribes to ERS and whether you have help build the database by providing your district's data (for each of the two types of Profile: $800 list price, $400 for ERS subscribing districts that have not yet provided data, $196 for districts that already provided data).
How do I get one?
Only a central office staff member (for example, superintendent or director of personnel) can order a Profile, and any Profile is sent directly to the superintendent.
