Comparative Profiles
Welcome to the Comparative Profile section of the Survey Research Center! Data collection for the ERS National Survey of School District Budgets, 2006-07 and the ERS National Survey of Salaries and Wages in Public Schools, 2007-08 is now complete—resulting in two valuable databases that will help inform your budget and salary decisions and those of your colleagues across the country. Over the last several months, we have worked to ensure that accurate information is collected and included in these databases in order to provide you with data you can rely on.
There are three types of Profiles available: ERS Budget Profiles, ERS Salary and Wage Profiles, and ERS Staffing Ratios Profiles. Each Profile contains a district-to-district comparative analysis of your school systems' revenue and expenditures, compensation, or staffing patterns with those of other school systems that supplied data to ERS. This unique service provides you with valuable information not available from any other source. Profiles are only available to school districts and cannot be accessed by any other organization.

To order a Comparative Profile you must complete a Profile Request Form. For your convenience, you may access the forms by clicking on the links below and submitting your request online.
If you would prefer to submit your request by fax or mail, printable PDF versions of the forms and participant lists can be accessed using the links below. Please note that the survey instruments are password-protected. Contact the Survey Research Center at 703-248-6230 or at surveyresearch ers.org for a user name and password. Note that the PDF forms require Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 4.05 or later). Click here if you need to install or upgrade.
If your school district did not submit data during our original collection phase, you may now do so by filling out the appropriate survey instrument and faxing or mailing it to ERS with your Profile Request Form.
